Review: Vancouver Canucks New Jersey….
“In case you’ve been hiding under a puck, tomorrow’s the day the Vancouver Canucks’ newest jersey will be unveiled.” -Canada (dot) com
History of the jersey is discussed on Canada (dot) com. For all the fans of the Vancouver Canucks, the long awaited unveiling of the new jersey has come today. Like it or not its here to stay! To see a review of the new logo: go here!.
My thoughts and opinion of the jersey
The new jersey changed slightly, kept the orca logo, kept the new colors of old retro jersey and added Vancouver. ( As shown below )..

( New White Jersey )
There was alot of hype about little tweaks and changes to the new jersey, some good, some bad. The addition of the Vancouver name on top of the jersey is old school and its one of the features I like alot. Overall, I think it is great to have the buzz of the new Vancouver jersey because it creates a Vancouver Canucks culture for next season, (only Vancouver fans can associate with this
).
Next question one should answer, can the jersey work miracles or can new colors give the team the edge it needs to bring home the Stanley Cup?

Prestige Sandcastle Competition
Yesterday (Sunday), we went up to Parksville, on Vancouver Island, approximately a two and a half hour drive from Victoria. We stopped to get cheap gas just before Duncan. I had a caramel Häagen-Dazs and a Charlseton Vanilla Chocolate Nougat Bar. As soon as we headed off to it began to spit and rain a bit, not sure if it would be worth it going there. We ended up pushing through thanks to my mother.
We arrived in Parksville, and it was near the beach club condo’s being constructed. We got out the car and headed down to the beach, where we asked the people where the sandcastle competition was and we managed to park 100m away. How about that?
We got to the white tent, full of advertisements and we still had to give a suggested donation of two dollars. Once we got in it was crazy amazing creativity that took place. We stood at awe at the sandcastles, here they are:

Me by the sign zoomed in.

Sponsors of the Sandcastle festival.

One of my favorite sculptures of the festival.
It was a fun experience and definitely going back next year, maybe for the building of the sandcastles itself might be fun, eh?

Dirt Biking and Go-Karts
Go-Karting
Monday, we (Mark, Catherine, Bill and I) went Go-Karting down in Richmond, BC. The infamous indoor track called TBC. We had an hour and a half wait to go, but we decided to stay because we thought it was worth every penny. Mark noticed a sign “Half price Mondays”, so by fluke we choose the right day to go. Now the actual experience was quite thrilling because the go-karts weren’t slow, in fact they were the best of the province in my opinion because they were so fast. (Five out of Five stars, you must go to it if you are visiting Vancouver). The flagger person or official of the race spilt our group up into different sections, so we never raced with each other side by side because another group of guys were with us. It was unfortunately not my fastest time 34 seconds a lap, I think the fastest I did a lap was just under 30 seconds, so I finished in 4rth place. I did however have fun bumping Catherine and startling her, she was kind of mad but she thought it was one of the other guys racing us, so I had no reaction from her. I tried catching up to Bill and Mark but couldn’t. The race heats lasted approximately 8 minutes, and we had two back to back. It was a fun experience worth going to, next year we will make this a tradition.
Dirt Biking
Tuesday afternoon Mark and I went dirt-biking near Alloutte Lake. He spent all morning welding and constructing a rack to take the dirt bike on. Finally, he finished and picked me up and we drove to a trail near the Fraser Valley Correctional Centre, unloaded the bikes and away we went. We suited up with helmets, gloves and steel toed boots. We started out really fast, until I hit a puddle, and I used the front brakes, first mistake. The bike ejected me and rolled on me, causing minor scratches and pain in my knees and my arms, as well as a huge gash out of my back. We started out again little bit slower but tried going around the puddle this time and I ended up in the bush; once again I triggered the front brake, mistake number two. I saw Mark at the end of the trial waiting for me by the gate, so I decided to push the front brakes again to slow down, mistake number three. The last fall off the bike was the worst perhaps because I fell on rocks. At this point my arm was bleeding well and my knees were wrecked.
We made it to Alloutte Lake alive and chilled at the beach for a bit before heading back. At this point I was scared to use the front brakes again so I didn’t, so I took it a lot slower. At the half way point back we traded bikes; he was riding something way faster and more powerful, until we traded. I was really scared to fly off the bike at a faster speed, so I took it slower. I made it back in one piece to the truck! I developed two fears while dirt biking: grabbing the front brakes of the first bike I was riding and fear of the throttle of the next bike I was riding. However, falling off was so worth it. One of the funniest things I did all summer.
Conclusion
Most definitely two of the funniest days all summer! Go-karting was off the hook, check out there website for more info on times and location. Dirt Biking was very fun, but being it my first time, very painful. I would recommend both. Cheers hope you have as much fun as I did!
Taking motorola phones is the safest one can go, regarding mobile phones, when going on a biking trip. Although samsung phones are a safe bet too but apparently verizon cell phones swear by motorola.

Millnic Media A-Team Story
“Ten years ago / In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… The A-Team.” – got from Wikipedia
As the one of the A-team biggest fans, I can recall Season 1 Episode 5 “Children of Jamestown”, where the A-team try to rescue someone’s daughter from a religious cult group and succeed but gt captured themselves. In the end, they escape from what looks like a prison or hell and not freedom itself.
In many ways, Millnic Media has been the A-team for the Affiliate Network World because they have set us free from other networks that seem like freedom yet so easily entangles you!
I met the team from Millnic Media at SEM Beers Vancouver, they were all awesome
and had great stories to tell! If you are interested in attending the next one go to your facebook account and type in “SEM Beers Vancouver” for group search.
So if you would like the taste of freedom hire the A-team to help you…I mean get started with Millnic Media, the Best CPA Network!
Thanks to cell phones having cameras and never ending batteries, media is creating a mayham. The need of printers is almost over. In fact, on plasma tv pictures is all that matters.
