Born in South Africa and later immigrating to Canada, Dave is a Canadian tax specialist with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of tax compliance, planning, and restructuring. His career spans work with local boutiques to global firms, giving him a wide lens on tax strategy and a hands-on understanding of the unique challenges faced by business owners.

Dave has advised clients ranging from small privately owned companies to large publicly traded organizations across a broad range of industries. He specializes in the taxation of private corporations, corporate reorganizations, cross-border and international tax compliance, and estate and succession strategies. Whether supporting a family enterprise or advising on the tax implications of a business sale or restructuring, Dave focuses on practical, forward-thinking advice tailored to each client’s long-term goals.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Camosun College and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He has also completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax and Corporate Reorganizations programs and recently earned a Private Equity certificate through the CFA Institute. Combining technical proficiency with a client-centered approach, Dave is dedicated to helping clients build, grow, and preserve their wealth with confidence.

When he’s not working with clients, Dave enjoys running, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with his two Australian Shepherds, Edmund and Edith. He also loves sharing wine adventures with his wife, Zoë, at local tastings or while traveling together.
